How we started

Our partnership started while working together in Shanghai. We found ourselves asking that if the 21st century is about innovative thinking and rapid change, why is transition and transformation a challenge for many people and organizations?

This question emerged after hearing women in Shanghai share about their struggles to embark on journeys toward authentic professionalism and personal fulfillment. The stories were familiar to ones we had heard from women in the United States, Australia, Canada, and Europe. Common themes emerged whether women were approaching retirement, reentering the workforce after extended leaves, or launching their first careers.

This universal experience of wanting to make significant changes without having a structured process to reflect and make decisions crossed age and geographic boundaries. And it resonated deeply with our own experiences of professional and personal transition and transformation.

So in 2019, we launched Guided Career & Life Transitions - a facilitated process for envisioning possibilities, managing ambiguity, and activating the changes required to create new opportunities.

Today, we are fortunate to work with women across continents and to partner with several major US universities in the delivery of the program.

We soon realized that some of the principles which guide successful transitions translate exceptionally well to supporting women with specific career development goals all along the professional spectrum – from navigating new leadership roles to launching early careers. In response, we created BASE Camp  for Women Leaders and the Future of Workforce Skills programs to add to the Guided Career & Life Transitions course.

Each of our programs reflect values we hold dearly:

o Women’s contributions: We believe in the valuable contribution women make to their communities, families, and the economy.

o Research: We incorporate the latest neuro and behavior science, psychology, and social science research to provide evidence-based support for our professional and personal development practices.

o Wisdom: We honor the cultivation of self-awareness, emotional agility, and complex thinking that contributes to the deep wisdom women bring to their professional and personal lives.

o Reflection & Action: We commit to the research that shows adults learn by doing, and successful growth depends on a fine-tuned balance of insight and action.

o Bold Choices: We believe that the ability to make bold choices is not inherently about confidence, but about developing the skills and strategies to evaluate opportunities, take well-calculated risks, and step into the unknown prepared to succeed.

o Commitment: We do not promise quick fixes. We do promise a thorough process to wrestle with questions, gain clarity on direction, and increase capacity. We recognize that solutions may emerge slowly, and we remain dedicated to the process.

o Accountability: We believe that focused attention to foundational goals creates the necessary momentum for sustainable change. To support this, we offer feedback and check-ins to support participants in developing accountability measures to ensure success.

These seven values serve as the bedrock for each of RRR’s programs. Our mission is to help women embrace new opportunities and position themselves to lead professional and personal lives that resonate and inspire.

What People Are Saying:

“I've told so many people about this wonderful course on transition.  I do hope that you teach it again.  The course has given me a solid framework of what I am to do next, and some very needed direction on how to pursue my goals. You have created a course that is a blessing.”

— Shelly Gerovac - Performing Artist - New York

“I've done many other personal/professional development workshops that all fell short. Your approach was different - it was unique and enlightening. Thank you! There's an idea that I've had percolating for a while. Through this workshop, it became apparent and realistic!”

— Shannon Mott - Trainer/Consultant - Canada & USA
